We run 6 after-school and vacation care programs for primary school children aged 5 to 12 years in Pyrmont, Surry Hills, Redfern, The Rocks, Ultimo and Woolloomooloo.

Project Status: When you need to do this

If you’re looking to place your child in after-school or vacation care, we have 6 facilities.

We run programs for primary school children aged 5 to 12 years in Pyrmont, Surry Hills, Redfern, The Rocks (KGV), Ultimo and Woolloomooloo.

Programs include:

  • arts and crafts
  • games
  • gardening and cooking
  • homework groups
  • music and dance
  • sport and fitness.

What you need to do

Pyrmont OSHC team leader

Redfern OSHC team leader

After-school care: Monday to Friday 3pm to 5:30pm. Vacation care: Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm

Surry Hills OSHC team leader

After school care: Monday to Friday, 3pm to 6pm.

KGV OSHC team leader

After-school care: Monday to Friday 3pm to 6pm. Vacation care: Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm

Ultimo OSHC team leader

After-school care: Monday to Friday 3pm to 6pm. Vacation care: Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm

Woolloomooloo OSHC team leader

After-school care: Monday to Friday 3pm to 6pm. Vacation care: Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm.

Other information

  • The Surry Hills vacation care program is run by the Girls and Boys Brigade.
  • The programs don’t operate on public holidays and close for a short break over the Christmas and New Year period.

Fees

Fees generally don’t apply at Surry Hills or Redfern, except for some activities and excursions during school holidays. Please note, certain access criteria needs to be met before your child's enrolment can be confirmed. To find out more, contact the team leader directly.

For our programs at Pyrmont, Ultimo, The Rocks (KGV) and Woolloomooloo, after-school care costs $24 a session and holiday care is $58 a day, which includes excursion or activity costs.

The fees only apply to families who don’t meet the criteria for free access to the services. The child care subsidy is available to help with the cost of fees for children using the programs at Pyrmont, Ultimo and The Rocks. A discount off the standard fee is also available for eligible families using these 3 centres.
