Barani/Barrabugu (Yesterday/Tomorrow) showcases the history and culture of Aboriginal Sydney, from the first contact with Europeans to today’s living culture.

Explore the beautiful foreshores of Sydney with Walking Coastal Sydney. Its walks cover the coastal councils of Sydney and some of the local area including Balmain East Wharf to Circular Quay and Circular Quay to Rushcutters Bay.

Walks through this grand park let you take in the diverse flora and fauna at your own pace. The Wetlands Interpretative Maze uses signage, sculptures and plants to help illustrate water use and conservation, while the Lachlan Swamp Nature Trail makes its way through one of the most tranquil and historic areas of the parklands. Themed walks around the public gardens allow you to soak up local history and appreciate outdoor artworks. See some of the oldest living specimens in the gardens with the heritage walk, while the Aboriginal history and culture walk includes plants that are deeply significant to the original custodians of the land. Get up close to fountains, sculptures and other examples of outdoor artwork thanks to the art and memorials walk, while there is also a walk dedicated to the Domain.

Teams of 4 with at least 50% women, walk 50 or 100km on the annual Sydney Coastrek, along Sydney's stunning coastline. It includes ocean and harbour beaches, headlands, cliff tops and bush tracks raising funds for The Fred Hollows Foundation.

This yearly charity fundraiser that has raised more than $650,000 for the Cancer Council walks 27km around the city across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Pyrmont Bridge, Anzac Bridge, Iron Cove Bridge, Gladesville Bridge, Tarban Creek Bridge and Fig Tree Bridge.

An annual event that encourages Australians to build regular walking into their daily routine, and raises funds for Diabetes Australia.

The first Sunday in June every year sees thousands of people raise funds for MS Australia. You can choose from a 5.5km, 9km or 16km route, which includes the Sydney Opera House and Royal Botanic Gardens, with the longest taking in Pyrmont Bridge and Anzac Bridge.

Alzheimer’s Australia raises much-need funds at this event to provide support, education and resources for people living with dementia and their carers. The Sydney Memory Walk and Jog also helps to promote the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle.

Show your support for premature and sick babies with the Walk for Prems at Sydney Park . The park turns into a hub of activity after the walk with music, children’s entertainment and market stalls.
