To help small businesses keep afloat through and after Covid-19, we've released $2 million worth of extra funding.

Who can apply

For-profit organisations, including for-profit arts enterprises, located within the local area, employing between 1 and 19 full-time staff and have an annual turnover of less than $10 million.

In exceptional circumstances, applications will be considered from larger businesses in the hospitality and tourism sectors.

Sole traders may be eligible for the quick response grant, cultural sector resilience grant or the creative fellowships grant.

What the funds can be used for

Operating model change

Costs associated with:

  • new packaging or other associated resources
  • purchasing or leasing equipment
  • promotional and marketing costs
  • investment in other capabilities or resources.

Online and e-commerce

Costs associated with:

  • e-commerce platforms (selling online and receiving payments)
  • online content development (web pages, mobile apps, audio and visual media)
  • digital marketing and promotion.

Training and professional development

Costs associated with:

  • mentoring and training in online and e-commerce activities
  • online learning courses and webinars
  • training courses, seminars, workshops, forums or conferences when in- person gatherings are permitted
  • in-house courses delivered by an external provider when in-person gatherings are permitted.

Capital works

Costs associated with purchasing and installing new equipment and alterations to an existing building

What you'll need to demonstrate

  • You’re a for-profit organisation with an ABN.
  • You employ between 1 and 19 full time staff, with applications considered from larger businesses in the hospitality and tourism industries under exceptional circumstances.
  • Your organisation is located within our area
  • How the grant will help support your business.
  • The skills and capacity necessary to undertake the project.

We’re currently revising our operational plan in response to Covid-19 pandemic, including allocating the funding to this grants program. Any decision to grant financial assistance will not be made until after Council has approved the revised operational plan at its May Council meeting.
